The mission of the I/O Psychology Program is to provide an excellent training in the area of industrial organizational psychology that integrates theory and practice and that contribute to enhance human performance and quality of life in organizational contexts.

The PhD I/O Program follows the scientific-practitioner model, training professionals who produce knowledge through scientific research and base their interventions on this scientific evidence.

Training Goals

1.  The program seeks to prepare students who can evidence knowledge in the foundation areas of       psychology and behavior in organizations.

2.  The program trains psychologists to understand scientific methodology and to utilize scientific       evidence in their interventions in organizations.

3.  The program seeks to teach concepts and skills with an appreciation for the important role of       organizational diversity and ethical behavior.

4.  The program seeks to prepare professionals that implement organizational programs to       guarantee human welfare and organizational effectiveness.

5.  The program seeks to prepare professionals to functional s industrial organizational       psychologists, organizational consultants, human resources professionals, and university       professors, among others.

Training Objectives

Upon competition of academic requirements the students will be able to:

- Apply theory to the practice in organizations
- Apply scientific research in their work environment.
- Implement organizational program to precede for human welfare in the sceneries
- Provide professional consultation in the Ind/Org environment
- Serve as academicians in the area of Ind/Org Psychology
- Conduct research in the Ind/ Org Sceneries
